_____________________________________________________________________________________________

An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 1 Physiotherapist to work in a full time rotational position in our dynamic and supportive Physiotherapy Team. There are also opportunities to work casually – casuals are employed on an ‘as needs’ basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends.

Our team is comprised of Grade 3, Grade 2 and Grade 1 Physiotherapists and is supported by a team of Allied Health Assistants.  We are located in a purpose-built Allied Health / Community Rehabilitation Centre situated at West Gippsland Hospital. Physiotherapy services are provided to a range of inpatient, outpatient, community and aged care departments.

Physiotherapy services include the following areas:

  • Acute inpatient units including Surgical, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Medical and Maternity
  • Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit
  • Sub-Acute Unit:  GEM and TCP
  • Aged Care Services
  • Community Rehabilitation Service, Prehabilitation and Outpatients
  • Rehabilitation Groups including: Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, Parkinsons Group, Stroke Group, Hip and Knee Groups and Strength and Balance Group
  • Community and Allied Health Team (Domiciliary Service)

Our physiotherapy department encourages and supports staff attending professional development activities. All staff participate in a supervision program where support and mentoring are provided. This is a great opportunity for a physiotherapist to develop a range of skills and experience in a supported and dynamic team environment while enjoying a fantastic lifestyle exploring beautiful Gippsland.

The preferred candidate will have:

  • A Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - Physiotherapy Board
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • A high level of knowledge and skills in a wide area of Physiotherapy practice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

IMPORTANT: All front line healthcare workers are required to have three doses of COVID vaccination (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
