An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team as a Grade 2 Women’s Health Physiotherapist.



We are seeking an enthusiastic Women’s Health Physiotherapist to join our team as a Grade 2 Women’s Health Physiotherapist. We have full time (12 month maternity leave cover) and part time (0.4EFT until September 2022) positions available.


In joining our team you will be well supported to use your Women’s Health physiotherapy skills to deliver Best Care to a varied caseload across maternity ward inpatients and outpatient clinics treating pregnancy and post-partum musculoskeletal and pelvic floor conditions with the opportunity to run group classes including hydrotherapy and Pilates.  Our physiotherapy team has strong links with the midwifery and medical team in our state of the art Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital. You will have the opportunity to work in the multidisciplinary obstetric anal sphincter injury clinic and observe the Advanced Practice Physiotherapy led urogynaecology clinics for further growth and clinical exposure.



You will have the opportunity for training and development in Women’s Health Physiotherapy through clinical supervision by experienced and dedicated Grade 3 clinicians. You will also be involved in supervision of junior staff and students; contribute to the strategic direction of the team; and participate in Research and Quality Improvement within the Physiotherapy service.

To be Successful in this Role you



  • Will have well-developed or developing clinical skills for working in Women’s Health as well as experience in supervising staff and students 

  • Will have or be working towards a Post graduate certificate/Masters in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy. 

  • Will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Will work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy and Multidisciplinary teams 

  • Will ensure safe and high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and Live Best Care framework 

  • Will contribute to a culture that values ongoing learning and be part of a positive workplace
