Community Rehabilitation


The Community Rehabilitation team  offers both home and centre based therapy. The senior physiotherapist works closely with the case manager or a clients key contact person and the interdisciplinary community rehabilitation team to provide a therapy program that is both holistic and client centred.The senior physiotherapist provides supervision to the physiotherapy team. This position provides the opportunity to work with autonomy, be creative and deliver high quality therapy services.

Job Summary (Purpose /Key Result Areas/Scope)


The Grade 3 physiotherapist is responsible for working within the physiotherapy department and leading delegated responsibilities to provide best practice patient care, achieve maximal operational effectiveness, develop organisational competencies, and create strong partnerships within and outside Monash Health. They hold specialist clinical knowledge in the field of Physiotherapy.


You will provide a high standard of client assessment, treatment and coordination of services to clients, to facilitate safe, effective, person centred care.


You will assist with planning, development, quality and evaluation of evidence based physiotherapy services across the community.


You will assist with development, implementation and re-evaluation of protocols, practices and patient care both within the hospital/community rehabilitation service and wider field.


This position is based within Kingston/Clayton Community Rehabilitation, however travel to any of the Monash Health sites will be required.


What you need:



  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or recognised equivalent degree

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Physiotherapy Board of Australia (practicing, no restrictions)

  • Working towards, or completion, of relevant post graduate study

  • Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, including involvement in Special Interest Groups

  • Working with children's check
