This is a great opportunity for 2 newly graduated Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join the Allied Health Team at MDHS!

Physiotherapist Graduate Program

 Fixed Term:

-        2x Full Time – 80 hours per fortnight

Classification: Physiotherapist Grade 1

Award: Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020

This is a great opportunity for 2 newly graduated Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join the Allied Health Team at MDHS. In these 12 month role, you will work in a diverse setting with supported learning through supervision and education, whilst providing Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management across a range of settings including acute, community and residential aged care within a multi-disciplinary team environment. This position is from 4th January 2021 to 2nd January 2022.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Physiotherapists: Registration with Physiotherapists' Registration Board of Victoria.\
  • Understanding and commitment to evidence-based treatment and client-centred work.
  • Demonstrated skill in working in multi-disciplinary and professional teams in order to achieve best client outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications/Experience

  1. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Registration with Physiotherapists' Registration Board of Victoria and AHPRA.

Specialist Experience

  1. Demonstrated clinical experience in the application of principles and skills of Physiotherapy.
  2. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure evidence-based practice within current scope of practice.
  3. Demonstrated experience in using client-centred Physiotherapy practices to ensure positive outcomes.
  4. Demonstrated experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams to enhance and coordinate client care.
  5. Demonstrated experience in working with clients with chronic and complex health conditions.
  6. Proven ability to work autonomously and seek supervision/guidance when needed.

Personal Qualities

  1. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Well-developed computer skills and willingness to learn new applications.
  3. Current Victorian Driver's Licence
