About the opportunity

The Planner and Scheduler works within one of the North East Link Project's (NELP) delivery packages.  This position partners with internal and external stakeholders ensuring completeness, accuracy and clarity of works schedules, the identification of critical works, and the timely communication of schedule delays and issues arising along with mitigation strategies.

As a Planner and Scheduler your key responsibilities are:

  • Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules.
  • Monitoring the progression of works and activities.
  • Identifying schedule and performance issues arising and recommend improvements and mitigation actions to ensure project programs are robust and able to be delivered within the required time frames.

About you:

This position requires an experienced planning and scheduling professional ready to test their skills and experience on Victoria's most high profile and complex infrastructure project.  To be a successful planner and scheduler you will possess track record working in a construction site where you have had exposure to project planning and scheduling.

Other key experiences you will bring include:

  • Knowledge in project management and scheduling methodologies.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders and communicating with people at all levels.
  • Experience and ability to read and understand a schedule and communicate in a clear and logical manner.
  • Experience in using project management software, ideally proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Visio, and Excel.
  • Ability to analyse and resolve issues.

This is a great role where you will be required to be a team player but also able to work autonomously.

The North East Link Project (NELP) is a $15.8bn tunnel road infrastructure project that will slash travel times, get trucks off local roads and link key growth areas, whilst creating thousands of new jobs.  NELP is the Victorian Government entity responsible for the delivery of this project.
