The Planning Approvals Program Officer will manage and support delivery of high-quality advice and support to the coordination of planning processes, including adherence with statutory requirements, public land-use projects, undertaking strategic reviews and providing sound and authoritative advice. 

The purpose of this role is to lead service excellence in delivering the effective and efficient provision of public land governance and administration services, environmental and land use information and advice and actions to support a high performing culture.

The Program Officer will work with other teams to ensure the consistent, integrated and efficient delivery of public land-use projects and strategic services across the Forest, Fire and Regions Group (FFRG). The Program Officer will be an active member of the Land and Built Environment Branch leadership team, contributing to the delivery of group and departmental priorities, and to building an inclusive and high performing workforce that is customer focused, collaborative, professional and engaged. The Forest, Fire and Regions Group plays a critical role in the delivery of integrated, accessible and high-quality land and natural resource management for Victorians and protection against and management of fires and emergencies.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and or experience.
