The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Maintenance team. This is a Full Time position, working 76 hours per fortnight.

Your Opportunity:

  • Responsible for the planned general maintenance of our nursing homes, community care units, Dialysis and administration facilities across the North West metropolitan region of Melbourne

  • Inspection, audit and monitoring of facility plumbing / hydraulic systems

  • Repairing taps, sinks, showers, drains, guttering, minor roof repairs

  • Assist in general maintenance duties and minor repairs as required

  • Coordinate trades and resources

  • Working with stakeholders and the community to both maintain and enhance facility condition and minimise unplanned maintenance

About You:

  • Licensed registered plumbing certificate

  • High quality workmanship, great work ethic

  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team

  • Effective oral and written communication

  • OH&S / WHS / environmental legislation and safety training

  • Ability to use mobile (digital tools) to manage audits and works requests
