About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a qualified Plumber to join our team and supply all plumbing services including limited mechanical repairs and maintenance throughout the South West Healthcare campuses. The role will maintain all plumbing, pipes, fittings and appliances relative to sewerage, gas, roofing, hot and cold water supplies, non-potable water and steam services throughout the SWH campuses, residences and Central Linen Services.
You will be required to participate in an on-call roster after hours and support other on-call team members as required. This role has an exciting opportunity to supervise and control training of Plumbing Apprentices.
This is a permanent full time (80 hours per fortnight) position with a monthly ADO.
What you bring
The successful applicant will hold relevant trade qualifications and experience in the plumbing industry and hold a current Australian driver's license.Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment is essential to the success of this role. You must demonstrate strategic problem solving skills and flexibility in a changing environment. Mechanical trade skills in addition to plumbing trade skills would be advantageous, as well as a forklift licence.
