Your new role

In your new role as a Plumber at the RMH you will be working alongside the various trades within the Engineering team to maintain the hydraulic services required. 

Furthermore, other responsibilities include but are not limited to.

  • Routine maintenance and inspections through a computerised maintenance system
  • Management of breakdowns and repairs
  • Maintaining repair data, including assets, time, safety analysis and material costs.
  • Maintaining and organising spare parts
  • Preventative maintenance
  • General maintenance as required
  • Delivering maintenance in line with legislature, customer service commitments, asset performance, and value for money.
  • Assist building contractors with the knowledge and performance of a shutdown

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in Plumbing in a direct or similar Health care environment. Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures, hospital asset management systems, and proactive stakeholder engagement competencies. Furthermore, you will need:

  • Licensed Plumbing Certificate
  • Demonstrated understanding of safe work practices and safe access/permit systems
  • White card
  • Valid driver’s licence
