About the Role:

We are seeking applicants for the position of a Porter. In this role you would be undertaking manual cleaning, patient transport and product delivery throughout SRH health service facilities. This includes the main hospital site, Macpherson Smith Residential Care, the Stawell Health and Community Centre and the Stawell Medical Centre.

Applicants should have a strong work ethic, good communication skills and demonstrate a positive and approachable manner. Time management skills are essential, as is the flexibility to support other environmental roles. Previous experience in the role is desirable.

About you:

• Use equipment including ladders, micro fibre system and chemicals to a safe standard with appropriate PPE
• Gain a demonstrated understanding of the Victorian Cleaning Standard Guidelines
• Support the cleaning workload within the team to ensure a high-quality service
• Maintain equipment and supplies as per health service requirements
• Undertake work in a safe manner with regard to both themselves and others

• Safe Food Handling Certification
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work within a team and individually

The successful applicant would be required to work between the hours of 8:00-4:30 on Thursday and Friday with the ability to cover other shifts and positions where necessary.
