About the Opportunity

The role of the Portfolio Governance Specialist will develop the required frameworks, resources, and processes to optimise delivery of the Department's IT roadmap in alignment with Department of Transport and Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) requirements and drive effective governance to ensure that there is clarity about what decisions are made, where and by whom, and what criteria are used in reaching these decisions.

About You

The skills and experience required in the position includes:

  • Project and Program Governance: Directs the program of audits and reviews strategy, whilst defining the appropriate level(s) of project controls and measures. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Identifies issues in common for clients or stakeholders and uses them to build mutually beneficial partnerships. 
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Resolves issues through deep understanding of existing guidelines. 
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Uses understanding of clients or stakeholders' context to design and implement systems for continuous improvement.
  • Project Delivery: Translates strategies into programs. 


  •  Bachelor's degree or higher in information management, technology, business, commerce or si

portfolio governance experience.
