About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Registered Psychiatric Nurse to extend their clinical knowledge and skills in the specialty area of mental health nursing, in post graduate positions with South West Healthcare. The program extends for 12 months and is supported by an experienced cohort of Registered Psychiatric Nurses. In addition to this, there will be the provision of regular Professional Development and Clinical Supervision to ensure development of specialist skills that are utilised in mental health nursing.
These positions will develop skills in delivering a broad range of mental health care and services to consumers within a mental health environment, typically within the inpatient setting, but also with placement within a Community based setting.
This is a fixed term full time (80 hours per fortnight) position, with a monthly ADO until July 2023.
What you bring
The successful applicants will work as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team of professionals, excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential. Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the relevant legislation and contemporary frameworks are required; with a sound understanding of recovery orientated practices. Applicants must have current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
