Postdoctoral Researcher

We are currently seeking a Full Time (1.0 EFT) Postdoctoral Scientist for a 12 month fixed term position, with the opportunity for future extension. This position requires a highly motivated Scientist with advanced skills in various cellular, molecular and biochemical techniques. The Scientist will employ mouse models of head and neck cancer, tissue culture and patient samples to identify novel preventative and therapeutic targets against the human disease.



The successful candidate will have a PhD in Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology or Pathology, and will be capable of working in an independent manner within an existing team.



The scientist will be able to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, and technical staff. Importantly, the person would have a strong background in cancer research with an emphasis on the use of animal models, cancer cell lines and primary patient samples to assess gene expression (transcription) and signal transduction pathways regulating cancer cell survival and/or growth.
