Community Health Nurse (sole) (YW7)
Fixed Term Part Time
(16 hrs per fortnight)

We are seeking a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. This temporary part time position is available for an immediate start until June 2023 and includes working one day a week at Horsham College. This role involves providing support and counselling to adolescents and performs all nursing duties relevant to a general health care practice including; recording patient data into medical software, following up clinical recalls and other general practice duties as required. The successful applicant will assist the GP on their visiting days at the school based clinic.

Key Selection Criteria include:

Essential:

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration


• Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse


• Competency and experience in adolescent health and development, primary health care, community health, mental health, public health and/or health promotion


• Demonstrated patient centred care and service provision


• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development


• Advanced written and oral communication skills


• Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively


• Ability to work cooperatively and independently


• Highly proficient computer skills

Desirable:

• Experience working in General Practice


• Medical software computer experience


• Experience in and understanding of drug & alcohol services, forensic health services, Indigenous health, Refugee & Migrant health and/or sexual & reproductive health
