POSITION SUMMARY:

A rewarding and challenging opportunity exists for a highly experienced property or infrastructure financial analyst within the Commercial Development Unit in the Housing Growth and Commerical Development Branch of Homes Victoria. The Principal Financial Analyst will be part of a collaborative and innovative team focused on structuring, developing, and implementing the funding structures for the Big Housing Build. This includes developing deal structuring (including tax, legal, security and financial), commercial negotiations and stakeholder management.

The Principal Financial Analyst will lead the development of financial models and analysis activities to support enhanced project planning and financial sustainability of the Big Housing Build projects. This role will contribute to the development of funding structures, commercial and financial analysis, and commercial development models for property and infrastructure projects to be delivered in partnerships between Homes Victoria and third-party partners.

Are you:

  • Experienced in developing funding structures and commercial development models for projects to be delivered in partnership arrangements between Homes Victoria and third parties
  • Experienced in structuring commercial infrastructure deals including tax, legal, security and financial negotiations
  • An experienced strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to apply strategic financial assessment and risk management frameworks and principles
  • Experienced in undertaking complex scenario analysis and cost modelling activities, forecasting and cost benefit analysis of proposals and initiatives.

Able to draft clear, concise, and authoritative reports and provide recommendations, options or solutions to influence decisions relating to funding structures and development models.
