Your Role

The Principal Policy Adviser will take a lead role in managing and overseeing the delivery of major tourism infrastructure projects in Victoria in partnership with key stakeholders. The role will provide of influential advice to Ministers, departmental senior management, Government stakeholders and other key community and industry stakeholders on a range of infrastructure policy and development issues.

 Your Skills

  • Excellent project management capabilities with preferred experience in overseeing and contributing to the implementation of large-scale projects in complex environments.
  • Experience in governance and oversight of infrastructure projects, including contract management and  identification and mitigation of risks.
  • Strong knowledge of Government processes, governance standards, policies and programs including knowledge of the key issues confronting the tourism sector in Victoria.
  • Proven analytical and conceptual skills, including an ability to structure problems, analyse data and communicate solutions to decision-makers. This requires excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of senior internal and external stakeholders.
