POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will lead the implementation of the National Disability Data Asset (NDDA) for Victoria. The NDDA is a national project, that will link data across governments and services, to deliver a richer, more complete picture that enables all parties in the disability sector to better understand the actions they can take to enhance the life outcomes of people living with disability. 

As the Victorian implementation lead, you be working with Commonwealth and State NDDA partner agencies to ensure that the co-design and co-governance of the NDDA builds on current Commonwealth and State/Territory policy, legislative and data governance work, and leverages and aligns with existing data linkage and sharing infrastructure.

The Project Manager is located in the Centre for Victorian Data Linkage (CVDL), Victoria's specialist data linkage agency which undertakes regular linkage of more than 35 health, human services, and other administrative and clinical datasets.

Key accountabilities

This role will involve working with Commonwealth and State NDDA partner agencies to ensure that the co-design and co-governance of the NDDA builds on current Commonwealth and State/Territory policy, legislative and data governance work, and leverages and aligns with existing data linkage and sharing infrastructure.

Accountabilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of the NDDA project in line with project objectives and within resourcing, timelines, and budget parameters.
  • Establish and manage project governance and develop a detailed project plan to achieve the NDDA linkage work program.
  • Support interim governance of Phase 1 of the NDDA, through coordination of Victorian agency input and engagement to support Victorian representatives on NDDA interim governance forums.
  • Work with Victorian data custodians to determine authorising pathways, end-to-end data flows, transfer, and storage of Victorian data with a view to ensuring data supply for the NDDA under future streamlined data governance arrangements.
  • Work with Commonwealth and State/Territory Integration Agencies to determine jurisdictional requirements for the design of the national linkage system and the platform elements of the Australian National Data Integration Infrastructure (ANDII). 
  • Support extension of the NDDA pilot test cases, as required.
  • Lead the production of relevant project reports and support for the development of papers for relevant committees
  • Keep accurate and complete records of work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
