THE ROLE

The purpose of the role of Principal Project Officer is to lead the Digital Opportunities Project to immediately address existing deficiencies in the Integrated Client and Case Management System (ICCMS), comprised of CRIS, CRISSP and FERIS, together with work to develop a long-term technology solution.

ICCMS is ageing, not fit for purpose, and will become unsupported by the vendor in 2032. Immediate system enhancements include automating processes to ensure data is up-to-date across different platforms, better connecting systems so data can be displayed in one consolidated view, and making data entry simpler.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Manage and oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
  • a)     Leading research, analysis and implementation of complex projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
  • b)     Managing and overseeing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
  • c)      Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.
  • Pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
