Manage and support the delivery of high quality procurement and contract management services to meet the business and operational objectives and priorities of the Strategic Fuel Breaks program.
The Strategic Fuel Breaks and Mechanical works program received significant investment that will support community and asset protection and provide strategic advantage for planned burning and fire control operations in the context of a rapidly changing climate.
The Procurement Officer will manage and support the delivery of high quality procurement and contract management services in the statewide Strategic Fuel Breaks and Mechanical works team within the Forest and Fire Operations Division.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2022. The successful applicant may request to work from any DELWP office location, subject to negotiation and COVID-Safe transitional arrangements.
The departmentplays a major role in Victoria's emergency response activities, through an all-hazards, all-emergencies approach. Staff undertaking these roles have been quarantined from performing emergency management roles and participation in planned burning operations.
