Do you want to work with Victoria's largest energy users to drive energy efficiency, support COVID-19 recovery and create jobs? A Strong Program Manager required to manage the delivery of the $31 Million Business Recovery Energy Efficiency Fund. 

This position of Program Manager will provide senior project management assistance in the management of the $31 Million Business Recovery Energy Efficiency Fund (BREEF) program team, within the Energy Projects and Programs Division of the Energy Group. The position will support the Senior Program Manager of the BREEF program to engage with grant recipients and administer funding.

Critical to success in the Program Manager role will be the identification and assessment of options to solve problems; ability to manage projects on time and within budget; and provide outstanding excellence in program delivery.

The position requires strong skills and experience in project management, contract management and budget preparation. The position will need to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and be responsible for managing relationships with multiple grant recipients.

This position will require a motivated individual with strong organisational and communication skills and the ability to manage direct reports to build capability and support them to problem solve. In addition to working effectively and flexibly as part of a team.  

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (public policy, business, project management, environmental management, environmental science/engineering) is highly desirable.
  • Senior experience in a project delivery and contract management role within government, particularly in grant administration is highly desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of the energy sector and government policies, programs and commitments is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2022.
