The successful applicant will lead continuous review and improvement of partnerships between DELWP and key organisations in Hume Region, with a key focus on be growing partnerships with traditional owners and Aboriginal Victorians.

This is a great opportunity to lead our partnerships team in beautiful North East Victoria. You will be innovative, responsive to changing needs, able to influence strategic partnerships, and lead projects as required. A major focus of the position is growing partnerships with traditional owners and Aboriginal Victorians including implementation of Pupangarli Marnmarnepu, the department's Aboriginal Self-Determination Reform Strategy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leading continuous review and improvement of strategic partnerships and relationships between DELWP and key stakeholder organisations in Hume Region to support a high performing culture.
  • Leading the Region in building relationships with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians and working together to achieve self-determination through implementation of Pupangarli Marnmarnepu, the department's Aboriginal Self-Determination Reform Strategy.
  • Leading a small flexible team to support the goals of the unit while being responsive to the changing needs of the Region.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Understanding of self-determination and experience working with traditional owners and Aboriginal communities.

This is a fixed term position available until 20 January 2022. This position is located within the Hume region (negotiable).
