Program / Policy Advisor (multiple roles)

  • $88,955 - $100,930 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term – 12 months 
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)

The position of Program/Policy Advisor forms a part of the Strategy & Preparedness and Coordination & Industry Recovery team, in the Industry Coordination & Recovery Group in DJPR.

Industry Coordination and Recovery Group

The Industry Coordination and Recovery Group leads and works with our partners to enable Victorian industries and businesses to recover and thrive while operating in a COVIDSafe environment. 

Strategy & Preparedness, and Coordination & Recovery branches

The positions are within the Strategy & Preparedness, and Coordination & Recovery branches which collectively lead, coordinates and delivers whole of government strategic projects and initiatives to support industry recovery as Victoria moves to COVID Normal.

Reporting to the relevant Manager, the Program / Policy Advisor is responsible for providing project support to priority projects as part of the Government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Key Accountabilities of the role include:

  • Provide policy advice on a wide variety of issues, including economic policy, governance, industry policy,  education.
  • Support development of industry guidenace materials that respond to emerging and established COVID 19 industry issues and opportunities, and provide industry with clear explainations of what the public health restrcitions mean for their business.
  • Contribute to policy and implementation options or components of projects with limited supervision.
  • Undertake policy research and analysis, including investigating and analysing issues and opportunities relating to the development and implementation of policy frameworks.
