Project Coordinator

  • $87,640 - $99,348 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term to 31 December 2021

The position of Project Coordinator forms a part of the Small Business Victoria Branch in the Jobs, Innovation and Business Engagement Group. Our group works to build trust-based relationships with Victorian businesses, from global enterprises to small businesses and start-ups, to achieve job outcomes that strengthen our economy. We do this by facilitating and enabling new investments, developing and attracting world class talent, supporting key industry capabilities, building on the state's reputation for innovation and advocating for a competitive and fair business environment that creates more jobs.

Small Business Victoria delivers policies and services that lead to profitable, growing and exporting Victorian small businesses able to create new jobs, including self-employment.

The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager and delivery of project(s). This position is required to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including team members, government departments and teams, and provider(s).  

Reporting to the Project Manager, Business Resilience and Recovery, key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Support the Project Manager in the delivery of projects, initiatives and services that contribute to Departmental objectives and policies.
  • Coordinate commercial stakeholders and business associations, professional service providers, contracts and other business relationships to deliver services and event based projects throughout the project management lifecycle.
  • Collaborate effectively across Branch teams, sectors, divisions, portfolios, government and other stakeholders to support the devliery of BRRM, and/or strategically connect other projects and initiatives that support Victorian economic development.
  • Coordinate project activities including proactively following up on risks and issues, actions, supporting contract management and delivery, and other project activities as required through to completion, while complying with project governance standards and processes.
  • Prepare clear and concise emails, memoranda, meeting minutes, correspondence, briefs and other project documentation as required to a high standard.
