About The Role

As Project Manager – Traffic, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of our road projects. You will provide specialist technical advice to project delivery teams regarding the impact on the transport network of planned and current road projects.  You will work with project teams to develop and maintain a forward schedule of disruptive works, brief internal and external stakeholders and assist in ensuring a high level of coordination between concurrent works. You will provide specialist traffic engineering advice, analysis and support to project teams in planning, implementing and reviewing the impact of disruptive works, utilising a range of applications and tools.

This is a unique role for you to make your own, where you can use your technical knowledge, to lead and advise project teams on how to plan and implement best practice traffic management on our projects. To be successful, you will be able to build strong partnerships with stakeholders, and in return, you will get to develop tools and guidelines for the project teams to use, and witness the rewards this will bring to our dynamic delivery team.

About You

As you will be negotiating, influencing and advising a variety of stakeholders, not only will having a strong technical understanding and experience be important, but you will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder too. You will have a great work ethic and thrive working in a fast-paced project environment. You can work autonomously and can use your initiative to make decisions. You don't need to know everything in this space, but you will need to have the ability to know where to go to find out the right information. You will have a strategic mindset and can identify and mitigate risks successfully – you can easily see the bigger picture and future repercussions. The role will be based at one of our project offices in South-East Melbourne, but it is expected that you will regularly get your boots dirty from attending our project sites working with our Contractors.
