An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Officer on a full-time ongoing basis in the Office of the Victorian Chief Engineer within the Office of Projects Victoria (OPV).

OPV plays a key role in overseeing the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects in Victoria. Our purpose is to lead and influence excellence in project delivery to maximise value for all Victorians. OPV has four strategic outcomes:

• Assurance through project portfolio monitoring and oversight;
• Project system wide improvements including developing the skills and capability that project teams and leaders need to succeed;
• Improved project outcomes through independent advisory; and
• Advancing the role of Engineering within government

The purpose of this role is to provide project coordination support to the activities of the Office of the Victorian Chief Engineer. This is to ensure the Office's functions are carried out efficiently and effectively. The role will play a key part in the initiatives led by the Office, such as implementation of the Victorian Digital Asset Strategy, and act as a key administrator and contact for many internal and external stakeholders.

As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate

• Developed written and verbal communication skills and an ability to summarise and depict issues, options and solutions effectively to senior decision makers.
• Demonstrated experience and skill in coordination/management and implementation of projects and initiatives.
• Experience and exposure to engineering-centric environments and infrastructure is desirable, including understanding the challenges and opportunities facing major projects.
• Experience coordinating inputs from technical experts and stakeholders to develop and edit documentation, guidance, or advice.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute towards team and organisational success.
• A qualification or background in engineering, project management, construction management, or architecture is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite is highly regarded.
