About us

COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV) is responsible for Victoria's COVID-19 Accommodation response, including:

  • Mandatory quarantine for returned overseas travellers
  • Emergency Accommodation for people that cannot safely isolate/quarantine in their accommodation.

The Victorian Chief Health Officer has mandated that all returning overseas travellers arriving in Victoria must go into mandatory quarantine for 14 days from the day of their arrival to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

In addition, CQV is responsible for the operation of Victoria's Emergency Accommodation program for community members and their close contacts who have tested positive for COVID-19 and where an assessment has concluded that there are no other suitable alternative accommodation options for self-isolation.

Infection control and prevention is the primary objective of the mandatory quarantine and emergency accommodation programs.

About the role

The Logistics and Coordination team handles the logistic requirements associated with the arrival of quarantine client's into Victoria. The team coordinates appropriate logistical services and demands to the allocated quarantine accommodation.

Reporting to the Manager, Logistics and Coordination, you will be managing and leading the Logistics and Coordination team to manage and balance program needs. You will be working closely with the Manager to ensure that logistical services are strategically and readily available when clients arrive into Victoria. You will also be responsible for providing regular updates, feedback, and reports on efficiency and accuracy of services provided, as well as escalating any issues as required. Additionally, you will be providing direction, assistance and provide developmental support for the team of Logistics and Coordination Officers.

You may also be required to work overtime as required.

This role also includes:

  • Develop the procedural strategy and manage the daily coordination and delivery of logistics services across quarantine accommodation sites
  • Develop reports on accuracy and efficiency of logistics fulfilment to present to the General Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies and support Logistics and Coordination team to resolve complaints and issues regarding to logistics services.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team of logistics coordinators, couriers or other related services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing procedural strategies to transfer time-sensitive goods from one location to another.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of logistics procedures, safety, and data management relating to logistic support.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with logistics and warehouse personnel to formulate strategies and schedules in receiving of goods.
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelors in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is desirable.
