  1. Assist in the coordination of procurement process and contract documentation, contractual payments and variations and database administration services in line with the relevant government legislation, regulations and departmental procedures.
  2. Contribute to process improvements and maintain corporate information systems for records management, financial information, contract management, procurement practice and ministerial correspondence as required.
  3. Answer queries, provide timely advice and take follow up action as required.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Officer on an Ongoing basis in the Business and Administrative Support Team 

The Business and Administrative Support Team is accountable for the accurate and timely contract administration of the Division's construction and related consultancy contracts, including system set up, financial management (payments & variations), unit handover and finalisation. Provision of procurement services including tender creation, tender recording and payments through the Departments procurement system. Provision of ad-hoc administration services such as stationery and travel bookings.

The Project Officer in the Business and Administrative Support Team provides high level administration and support functions across several branches within Homes Victoria, including the responsibility for maintaining contract documentation, accounts processing and database administration services.

As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate:

  1.  knowledge of government procurement practices and legislation and experience of contract management activities would be advantageous.
  2. A good understanding and knowledge in using the various components of the department's records information management (eTRIM) system would be desirable.
