This position manages broad communication channels for the Water and Catchments Group (WCG), including the design, management and maintenance of DELWP's Water and Catchments online presence to meet strategic communication needs. The position also delivers a range of internal communications and information management functions for the group.

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience in delivering digital communications projects, including website design and management, and web content development.
• Background and qualifications in communications is desired.
• Experience working in a government environment would be an advantage.

 The successful applicant will work effectively as a member of a team, enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of work across WCG.

The key accountabilities for the role will include:

• Ensure WCG internal and external communication channels support and effectively communicate the government's strategic agenda for water, Water for Victoria.
• Manage DELWP's Water and Catchment's website; developing and refining information architecture, coordinating workflow and website governance processes, providing information and advice on best practice web design and content development, providing support to content authors across WCG, and creating engaging web content.
• Develop written content for a range of internal and external communications products that is timely, accurate, engaging, and that meets the needs of target audiences.
• Support digital change management within WCG by facilitating and supporting communities of practice.
• Proactively identify and develop opportunities for continual improvement and innovation in digital communications and information management for WCG.
• Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
