This branch is responsible for delivering a range of state-wide building, maintenance and compliance programs, including Make Safe, Emergency Maintenance, Accessible Buildings, regulatory and compliance, asbestos removal, Relocatable Buildings, Inclusive Schools and Modular Buildings.

Project Officer - Program Coordinator  (Full Time - Fixed Term 2.5 years)

The role sits within VSBA's Operations & Programs Branch, Delivery Division. This branch is responsible for delivering a range of state-wide building, maintenance and compliance programs, including Make Safe, Emergency Maintenance, Accessible Buildings, regulatory and compliance, asbestos removal, Relocatable Buildings, Inclusive Schools and Modular Buildings.

The Relocatable Buildings Team is a dynamic and fast-paced team environment with a critical delivery milestone for the first day of the school year. The position will assist in the planning and delivery of the works, policy implementation and reporting for the Relocatable Buildings Program.

The key accountabilities for the position include:

• planning and coordinating the work of consultants and contractors to scope and deliver approved works in schools.
• negotiating with, and influencing, key stakeholders in the development and management of programs;
• assisting with accurate project reporting and data analysis based on credible, authoritative and well-evidenced advice;
• collaborating with internal teams on implementation of policies and programs;
• establishing and maintaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, particularly schools, to manage risks and resolve issues impacting successful program delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a background in program implementation and/or project management, with experience in building or construction and managing diverse stakeholders in achieving required outcomes.
