About us

The Road Safety Camera Program (RSCP) is a business unit within the Police and Community Safety division of the Department of Justice and Community Safety.

RSCP is responsible for managing the operation of fixed and mobile cameras and associated services in Victoria.

The Traffic Camera Services team has overall responsibility for monitoring the State's contractor that delivers a wide range of road safety camera services. Responsibilities of this team include contract management, issue and risk management, change management, finance and stakeholder management.

About the role

As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • coordinating and supporting meetings, committees and other forums including the distribution of meeting papers, preparation of agendas, taking of minutes and tracking of action items
  • supporting the development of systems and processes that allow for the financial management, monitoring, reporting and impact tracking of projects
  • coordinating and supporting the team to assist them to achieve program objectives
  • raising and assisting any invoicing and data validation processes as required related to the contractor and draft memos and forms.

This role will support the contract management function in line with approved frameworks to ensure consistent and authorised commercial positions are taken in all relevant contexts.

About you

As the Project Officer, you will possess:

  • strong numerical and reconciliation skills
  • well-developed conceptual knowledge of costing and accounting principles
  • experience with the department's contract management system (Zycus and Oracle) (highly desirable)
  • an ability to quickly establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A tertiary qualification in commerce (business) or other related fields will be an advantage.
