As a self-motivated individual with high level planning and organisational skills; and the capability to tackle complex issues, the Project Officer will support improvements to public information about Victoria’s water markets.

Water markets are a key way we share water fairly and efficiently. Be part of a committed and supportive team working to make water markets more transparent, and create public information that is more accessible and understandable. We are looking for a self-motivated and a creative thinker who works well in a changing environment that can be the focus of community and media attention. The position will support commitments to make water markets more transparent, as well as help to coordinate Victoria's response to the recent ACCC water markets inquiry.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • An appropriate qualification in science, engineering, natural resource management, law or approved equivalent would be desirable.
  • An understanding of Victorian water resource management and water markets is an advantage.
  • Experience in MS Office, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel is essential.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 July 2022.
