Psychiatry Registrar

Latrobe Regional Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Psychiatry Registrar to our highly professional and enthusiastic Mental Health Service team at Latrobe Regional Hospital on a part-time basis.

Reporting to the Clinical Lead this position will be based at the Latrobe Valley Community Mental Health Service, Traralgon and will undertake a mix of outpatient clinics, telehealth sessions and outreach clinics.

Mental Health Service

The Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) Mental Health Service is the regional provider of mental health services in Gippsland. LRH Mental Health Service operates an integrated specialist mental health program across ten sites and provides inpatient and community mental health care for adults, children and young people, and older persons.

 “IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of Vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.”

The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill. The regional mental health workforce incentive grants will support the attraction, recruitment, and retention of new workers to Latrobe Regional Hospitals mental health services in regional Victoria. This role has been identified as being eligible for an incentive payment of up to $20,000 subject to eligibility and negotiation with successful candidates. This incentive may be used to reimburse rent, childcare, school fees, relocation costs and more!
