About the role:

The role is that of a Public Support Information Officer in the Police Information Liaison Office (PILO), which serves to support external government agencies by providing Victorian and national criminal history information to facilitate administration of justice, regulatory and/or prosecution functions. The successful applicant will therefore be required to assist in the delivery of efficient and effective levels of service across these multitude of agencies in accordance with legislative requirements.

On the job and workplace training will be provided in relation to information management and systems training. This Unit operates during regular business hours with no shift (evening/night) work, weekend, or public holiday requirements.

Your duties will include:

  • Sourcing, redacting and releasing Victorian and national criminal history information.
  • Providing accurate, prompt and professional advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing a range of administrative functions and support.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in data entry and records management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to assess the accuracy and completeness of information in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Ability to self-manage multiple workloads at once and meet prescribed deadlines.
  • Proficiency with the use of computer software (incl. Microsoft Office suite) and electronic databases.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Three (3) x fixed term (2 years) positions available.
  • Positions located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
