An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional to join the Quality and Safety team in the position of Quality Officer.

About the Role and You

This position is permanent part time (52.5hrs per fortnight 7.5hrs x 7)

This position is pivotal in:

  • Ensuring the organisation meets requirements under the National Standards

  • Supporting the organisation in always being accreditation ready

  • Supporting the development, governance and reporting of quality initiatives,  

The successful applicant will be well supported within a professional team that fosters a professional, respectful and flexible team based culture. The successful applicant will have:

  • excellent organisational skills and time management

  • Experience of quality management issues, especially systems and processes for achieving continuous quality improvement,

  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance principles,

  • Excellent writing skills, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organisation

 What You Need:

  • Relevant experience in health service

  • Demonstrated experience (aligned to position description noting no reference to years of experience)

  • Knowledge and understanding of accreditation and national standards, Standard 8 Deteriorating patient knowledge desirable

  • Understanding of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) desirable

  • Previous experience in coordination and management of committees

  • Australian working rights

  • Willingness to take on a portfolio(s) contributing to ward quality improvements & National Standards

  • Ability to work autonomously
