Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is seeking applications from suitably qualified persons for the position as Workshop Supervisor for Peter Mac's Radiation Engineering Mechanical Workshop team

This position involves overseeing the Workshop Team in the design and manufacturing of specialized equipment for Radiotherapy, Research and other departments within Peter Mac and external customers.

It would be desirable if the applicant had a background in the operation of the workshop equipment: mill, lathe, welder, CNC, 3D printer and CAD software with experience in machining and fabrication. You would need to have a trade certificate in toolmaking, fitting and machining, have good computer skills and have had experience in a supervisory capacity in your career. Excellent team inclusion and customer focused communication skills are essential.

The successful applicant's main role will be to ensure a cohesive, efficient and safe operations of the Radiation Engineering Mechanical Workshop.  Duties include: coordinating Radiotherapy equipment services, prioritising and delegation of workshop jobs, maintaining the workshop databases, quoting on jobs, ordering supplies and communicating with the Radiation Engineering team and customers.
