Peter Mac is seeking a very experienced Radiation Therapy Education Coordinator (Grade 5) to provide leadership in learning and development with Radiation Therapy Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing staff and student education activities of all five campuses of Peter Mac, ensuring the delivery of safe, high quality and exceptional patient care.

The Radiation Therapy Education Coordinator is a key member of the Radiation Therapy Operations team with direct responsibility for coordinating the education activities of the service. In conjunction with the Director of Radiation Therapy Services and Campus Management teams, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership and contributing to strategic planning for radiation therapy service development.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A post graduate degree in education, clinical education, or similar field;

  • Excellent current knowledge of radiation therapy practice, with high level understanding of advanced technologies and practice in RT;

  • Demonstrated awareness of contemporary approaches to teaching and learning in health care;

  • A proven track-record of delivering clinical professional learning;

  • A comprehensive knowledge of RT professional requirements;

  • A proven ability to effectively manage change;

  • A strong background in research and education;

  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills, with proven ability to effectively communicate with a multi-disciplinary team; and

  • Experience in leading teams to high performance.

Your registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) should be current, along with you Victorian Department of Health Radiation Use Licence and Victorian Working with Children Check.

Salary is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health) Enterprise Agreeement.
