About the facility

Barwon Medical Imaging (BMI) provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including X-Ray, OPG, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine. These are performed by a team of highly skilled radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists, nurses and support staff who ensure that all patients have access to quality services.

About the role

As the Grade 2 Radiographer/MIT you will support the Grade 3 and 4 Radiographers/MITs in the management of the MRI 24/7.

Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering advanced practice services to individuals in accordance with defined clinical practice guidelines, recognised best practice standards and relevant codes of conduct

  • Communicating health information data to other clinical staff within constraints of the privacy act and maintain accurate health information records as required by the Public Records Office of Victoria

  • Assisting with on-going practical supervision and tuition of students, interns and Grade 1 Radiographers in liaison with the Tutor Radiographer
