The Position:
This role offers the opportunity to work in a modern and progressive department within a regional health care setting. All team members receive strong professional development support to grow their skills and if you are interested in training in ultrasound, opportunities exist to receive organisational support to achieve this qualification.

The Department:
Our Medical Imaging department operates over a variety of specialities and our modern facilities comprise state of the art equipment, recently expanding with the installation of a GE 1.5T MRI machine, the latest Toshiba CT scanner, modern procedure rooms and the introduction of a multidisciplinary clinic in central Bairnsdale.

The department provides the following services:

• Multi-slice Computed Tomography
• Sonography
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• Mammography, including BreastScreen
• Fluoroscopy 
• Bone Mineral Densitometry
• Dental Radiography
• Interventional Radiology
• Theatre and Mobile Fluroscopy

Minimum criteria you need to meet:

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Imaging or equivalent
• AHPRA Registration as a Radiographer and a minimum of 7 years' experience
• Department of Health Radiation Use Licence
• Membership with ASMIRT & current enrolment in a CPD program
• A good level of knowledge of current Medical Imaging practices with proven experience using a range of Medical Imaging equipment
•  Ability to communicate effectively and assertively with a wide range of people
• Demonstrated commitment to the provision of excellent customer service and continuous quality improvement
• Proven ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Proven ability to supervise and tutor undergraduate students, Interns and other Radiography staff.
