About the facility 

Barwon Medical Imaging (BMI) is the leading provider of imaging services in the Geelong and South West Region.  We provide comprehensive imaging services across five sites, and support Acute Service delivery 24/7 at University Hospital Geelong.  Barwon Health employs 22 Radiologists and 14 RANZCR accredited Registrars.  It is currently the major clinical training facility for the newly formed Deakin University Medical School.  Barwon Medical Imaging has a strong commitment to teaching and research.

About the role 

BMI are seeking to appoint an Imaging Registrar for 2022 - commencing 7th February 2022 for a 12 month period. It is envisaged that this will be an Unaccredited training position, however should applications be received by candidates already participating in the RANZCR training program - consideration will be given to converting to an accredited position to enable continuation of training.  We encourage applications from Doctors in Training who are passionate about radiology, with a minimum of 2 years training and considering a career in this exciting field.   This is a unique opportunity to work as a radiology registrar (unaccredited - 1st year capacity), gaining experience in radiology reporting, procedures, clinical decision making (in consultation with others) and completing quality improvement projects (under Director of Training guidance), whilst working within a highly skilled and supportive multi-disciplinary team.
