Parks Victoria are looking for a Community Engagement Ranger to deliver education programs to schools and community groups in Geelong area's parks!

  • Learn how to lead programs in parks that promote and benefit the physical, mental, cultural, spiritual and social health of communities
  • Work with diverse groups which may include youth, persons from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and persons with a disability
  • Coordinate Parks Victoria's Junior Ranger program in Geelong area
  • Enjoy a healthy work-life balance

About the role

Core duties include:

  • Deliver education programs for schools and community groups in Geelong area's parks
  • Deliver Parks Victoria's Junior Ranger program in Western Basalt District
  • Support Parks Victoria's Park Walks program at You Yangs and Ocean Grove Nature Reserve
  • Learn how to engage diverse groups with parks and set up new programs for these groups

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in education and interpretation and/or community engagement
  • Experience in customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in self-management and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
