About North East Link

The North East Link Project (NELP) is a $15.8bn infrastructure project that will connect the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network, whilst increasing the capacity of the Eastern Freeway. About the opportunity

Be part of a transformative infrastructure project for Victoria, with an exciting role in the North East Link Project's Records Management team.

Reporting to the Records Manager, the Records Specialist is required to directly support the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) in maintaining efficient and effective records and document management systems and associated procedures that meet legislative and best practice requirements. The exciting role is an opportunity to apply your demonstrated experience in records management policies, systems and procedures, and operating Electronic Document and Records Management systems (EDRMS) in a records management support role.

The position will require you to identify opportunities for improvement to records management policy and procedures, provide MTIA with Records Information Management (RIM) helpdesk services, manage various filing systems, archiving, retention and disposal processes, and support the Records Manager in managing the EDRMS (Content Manager 9.2).

About you

You are:

  • Experienced in and understand government records management principles including filing systems, naming conventions, metadata requirements, business classification systems, archiving, retention and disposal.
  • Knowledgeable in relevant legislation and Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) standards and guidelines.
  • Customer focused with a natural affinity for developing effective working relationships at all levels with varied stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • A strong communicator with an ability to clearly explain information, listen to feedback and convey technical ideas and information in a clear and interesting way.
