As the recruitment coordinator you are required to facilitate and support the seamless process of medical employment by being part of a team responsible in the following areas:

  • Medical workforce planning and establishment

  • Recruitment and selection of paid and unpaid appointments where doctors workforce has direct responsibility for these functions including interns, general trainees, physician trainees and surgical trainees

  • Credentialing, contracting and on boarding of all medical staff (paid and unpaid appointments).

  • Managing all aspects of on-boarding to ensure medical staff are ‘work ready’

  • Employment contracting of locum and secondment arrangements

About Monash Doctors Workforce

The Monash Doctors Workforce (MDW) is responsible for medical workforce planning and the recruitment of senior medical staff (SMS) and junior medical staff (JMS) across Monash Health. The MDW is also responsible for managing JMS rotations, providing employee service functions to JMS and SMS and for providing policy advice on all issues relating to the employment of medical staff at Monash Health.

About You

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key attributes. Within the context of the responsibilities described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in medical workforce issues in large tertiary hospital environment

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, discretion and judgement

  • Proven ability to schedule and manage tight time frames along with capability to prioritise urgent tasks

  • Knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues including Workplace Health and Safety issues, Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti-discrimination

What you need:

  • Current national police check

  • A minimum of twelve months experience working in a similar position in a large tertiary hospital is highly desirable

  • Business Administration or other health relevant qualification highly desirable.

  • A current employee working with children check

Other requirements:

  • Current Drivers Licence

  • All candidates will require Australian working rights
