About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an experienced Mental Health professional with qualifications in either Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Nursing to lead our Mental Health Referral Services who are looking for an opportunity to enhance and progress their health leadership career.
The Manager of the Mental Health Referral Service is responsible to manage the operations of the Referral Services Team, which operates 24 hours, 7 days a week for all clinical mental health team incoming referrals across the mental health services region. The Referral Services team includes Centralised Triage, Suicide Prevention, Consultation-Liaison, and the Mental Health and Police Initiative.
This is a permanent full time (80 hours per fortnight) position with a monthly ADO.
This position is eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) up to $20,000.
This includes a Navigator role that ensures all new workers are well supported prior to employment, during relocation, settlement and integration into local communities.

The successful applicant will have appropriate qualifications and unrestricted registration, along with proven skills and experience in a variety of public mental health settings. You will require highly developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to work closely with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical personnel and communicate and negotiate at senior levels. A transformative mindset will be essential as services grow and transform requiring initiative and innovation.
