Parks Victoria is seeking a dedicated and motivated Regional Fire and Emergency Program Coordinator to provide specialist advice and support to the Southern and Maritime Region.

About the role

As the Regional Fire and Emergency Program Coordinator, you will provide technical expertise to inform delivery options in emergency management (non-fire) and the use of fire for park management purposes. The position is responsible for understanding and coordinating emergency planning across South East Melbourne, Yarra and Maribyrnong rivers, Port Phillip and Western Port consistent with Parks Victoria's accountability under the State Emergency Management Plan. You will have knowledge and a high level of emergency management capability to enable the translation of policy and strategy into regional/district fire and emergency management outcomes.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in provision on expert and technical advice and support around fire and emergency management
  • Demonstrated capability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, extensive experience in engagement and stakeholder management is required
  • Experience in multi portfolio management
  • Demonstrated high level judgement experience in analytical problem solving and decision making
