About the role
Regional Officers are integral in undertaking a broad range of inspections as well as educating and empowering the community to understand their rights and obligations.
Regional Officers carry out a range of routine, straightforward compliance monitoring activities and inspections of businesses using checklists, as well as residential tenancy assessments and inspections. Regional Officers may also conduct more complex inspections as directed by the Regional Manager. These inspections will typically include acting as support in a team conducting compliance inspections of licensed businesses and similar type inspections that are likely to lead to court action or formal sanctions.
Regional Officers will also be required to respond to enquiries (counter and telephone) from both consumers and businesses, as well as participating in front line (and/or virtual) dispute resolution, business and community education and CAV campaign initiatives.
This position may be required to work across multiple Justice Service Centres including Box Hill and Dandenong.
