Parks Victoria are seeking a Project Coordinator to deliver and coordinate landscape scale ground and aerial shooting programs for the control of deer in Eastern Victoria.

  • Work within a team of professionals specialising in the control of feral animals in National Parks and conservation reserves across Eastern Victoria.

About the role

The Project Coordinator is part of a small team which leads the delivery of over $3.5M of contract ground and aerial shooting to control deer across Eastern Victoria in landscapes ranging from the alps to temperate rainforest on the coast. This role requires strong operational skills to plan and deliver control works in areas of high conservation value which are susceptible to deer impacts, implemented collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, other organisations and the community. The role can be based from a variety of Parks Victoria office locations in Eastern Victoria by negotiation.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience delivering environmental projects across multiple outputs and competing demands
  • A proven ability to foster and manage relationships at various levels
  • A background in operational delivery is highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in natural resource managment or similar is desirable
