Public Health and Healthcare Partnerships are looking for a Project Coordinator to join the team. Location of this position is flexible and can be at your existing Regional Health service.

The Planned Surgery Recovery & Reform Program is a state government initiative to improve patient access to planned surgery services. The program is aiming to implement innovative reforms that ultimately lead to improved patient outcomes.
As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Planned Surgery recovery and reform Program initiatives across the Barwon South West (BSW) region.
As part of this role, you will be supporting the work that is currently underway in patient optimisation, improving waitlist management and theatre efficiency, as well as other initiatives that are identified. Key to this role is a collaborative approach to engagement with key stakeholders to support in the success of the program initiatives.
Location;
Successful applicants would ideally be based at their existing/local health services, but will work across multiple regional health services in the region, both on site and virtually.

Essential: Degree qualification in health or related field.
Essential: Knowledge of and existing relationships within BSW health service/s clinical teams OR Experienced health care professional with leadership experience working across departments, wards or units

Essential: Excellent presentation, communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills, in order to engage with a wide variety of internal and external professionals at all organisational levels, and groups
Essential: Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, email and internet applications
Essential: Excellent organisational, prioritisation and documentation skills with attention to detail
Essential: Demonstrated ability to apply an innovative and creative approach to problem solving
Essential: Current Victorian Driver's Licence, reliable transportation, and a willingness to travel.
Desirable: Post graduate qualification in health, management or project management.
Desirable: Project management experience particularly managing inter project dependencies and resource demands
Desirable: Knowledge or experience in structured improvement and/or project management methodologies
Desirable: Experience in using, or supporting use of, virtual care technologies in the delivery of health care.
Desirable: Experience using clinical and administrative information system
Desirable: Previous experience as a team leader is advantageous
