About the role
Eastern Health is offering registered and enrolled nurses with current (condition free) AHPRA registration the opportunity to re-enter the nursing workforce. Our Nurse Refresher Program provides a supported program of education, clinical teaching, ward-based learning and additional support. The RNRP will support you to gain experience and confidence in the acute clinical setting. The program includes access to clinical educator support, professional development study days, skill acquisition via simulation based learning and clinical placement in the acute ward setting.
The refresher program will be delivered at the following Eastern Health sites:
Please nominate your preferred site within your cover letter. The program will commence on Monday 27 June 2022, with some ability to provide flexibility for those unable to commence on this date. The refresher program will be completed over a maximum of six weeks. It will be tailored to individual learning needs and learning will be based on self-assessment of needs. Successful candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of three shifts per week, with two of these shifts on consecutive days.
The refresher program is not a paid position. Participants will, however, be guaranteed an interview for a permanent position within Eastern Health, upon successful completion of the program.

This program is not suitable for newly qualified nurses. Applicants who have not completed a graduate nurse program, or who cannot demonstrate a work history as a registered nurse in Australia are, unfortunately, unable to be considered.
