Monash Women's maternity service is part of Monash Health and provides health care across south Eastern Melbourne, uniquely integrating in one organisation all levels of health services - primary, secondary and tertiary care, as well as world renowned research and teaching facilities.

Our maternity service is the largest maternity provider in Victoria providing care to over 10,000 women each year across three hospitals: Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong and Casey.

About the Role

We are excited to announce opportunities to work across a full scope of practice within our Maternity Services at Casey Hospital.

As a Registered Midwife, you are able to work across areas of Antenatal, Postnatal and Birth Suite. The teams at Casey Hospital care for increasing numbers of women as the services and acuity grows across the South Eastern corridor. We support a culturally diverse group of women across Casey and Cardinia councils. Our midwives encourage and support continuity of care to ensure women receive consistent high quality, safe care throughout their journey.

Work in an ongoing full or part time capacity within Monash Women’s Program across the full scope of practice.  Grow your career in maternity whilst maintain a work life balance as you work a rotating roster across all shifts, 7 days a week.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a registered Midwife. You will hold a passion for women centred care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with core values of the organisation. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You demonstrate the ability to lead by example and provide coaching and support to other midwives and students. You are an advocate of the Monash Health Strategic Guiding Principles.

What you need:

  • Successful completion of a Graduate Midwifery Program is essential. Minimum 12 months experience

  • Willingness to work across the full scope of maternity services.

  • Australian working rights

  • Current AHPRA registration
