An exciting opportunity exists for motivated and skilled individuals to join the Maternity Services Team as Registered Midwives.

At our Graham Street campus in Shepparton, the Maternity Services Unit consists of the Antenatal/Postnatal Inpatient Unit, Birth Suite, Special Care Nursery, Antenatal Service, In-home postnatal care and breastfeeding support. Through these services, we support approximately 1200 births each year.

GV Health is currently undergoing a $229 million redevelopment, which will include a new Renal Dialysis Unit, an expanded Emergency Department, the establishment of a Women’s and Children’s precinct and much more. The Maternity Ward will be refurbished and a new Special Care Nursery built.

Your role 



  • Providing and coordinating all aspects of quality care for women and neonates across the continuum of care

  • Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrating excellent clinical skills and supporting graduates and students throughout their rotations


Basic requirements



  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife

  • Minimum of 1 year postgraduate midwifery experience

  • Excellent clinical skills

  • High level of communication, organisational and time management skills
